Booking your session and deposits.

Hi there!

So, I'm writing this mini post for booking sessions and deposits. I felt it was becoming more necessary to post this so here it goes. Often times I get a lot and I mean a lot of people booking my services and that's all wonderful, however when the day or time draws near I end up with empty slots in my schedule due to booking people and then waiting on a deposit from the client to secure that time and day that never makes it into the account unfortunately.

To avoid this I now require the deposit to be paid before I actually pencil a client in on my work book calendar. This ensures that my days do not go "un- used" because I allowed for a client to book who did not come through with a paid deposit. When this happens other potential clients are turned down in place of the time the other person booked me for but later does not show or can not do it for other reasons. This is really more of a way to be respectable to others and me as the photographer by not taking up time that the client would not be or will not be using. I don't like that I have had to make it a public notice, but sometimes it is just called for. I'm hoping that many of you will understand why I'm doing this and how it will help everyone involved.

The deposit is set at a $50.00 secure deposit that is applied to your total cost with me as your photographer. This applies for all sessions including newborn shoots. Everyone that considers me and uses me as their photographer is greatly appreciated and I want to thank those who have already worked with me prior. Be on the lookout for some new offers and deals that you may want to take my offer up on!

Thank you all for taking the time to read this small but informative matter on my services. For your convenience I have provided a tab on my home page to pay your deposit directly via paypal! Once your deposit is paid, I will then contact you with your confirmed date and time as requested and schedule you for that date. Once your date is reserved, I do not book anyone else in place of your session time and it is dedicated to your session. Should anything come up last minute, please contact me as soon as possible so we may be able to work out the session to fit the circumstances. Please also note that the deposit is non-refundable unless certain issues arise. If you choose to completely cancel you fore fit your deposit and I take the funds as a loss of work. So, please be prepared and ready to shoot because I really want to work with you! Thank you for your understanding.

Love your photographer,

Vanessa

Welcoming myself and my thoughts back into the blog world!!

 Wow,

Well if there was a title for being the queen of neglected blogging I suppose it would be me! Last year took up so much of my time in so many different ways that I couldn't even begin to speak out  about everything. The good thing is is that  I want to come back and full throttle!

So a little update here since my last post in October. Josh my husband has re-enlisted. Another 6 years dedication to the service. What was neat was I was also awarded that day for his re- enlistment and was noticed for being the wife and the supporter of the man who is a part of something very honorable! I love it. My kids also got to be there. It really was like a whole family re-enlistment! I will have to post the pictures here to add a little emphasis on the subject. I have to say this year has brought new things already and I'm excited about it. Who doesn't enjoy new things. Is there anything new with YOU?

Well I think that theres much on my behalf to share and I think I will with some filter in between here and there for some things BUT for the most part positive change and cant wait to take it further! A couple of things in the possible near forcasted future are including: My weight loss, a PCS BACK to Savannah Georgia, a renewed relationship with god amen for that!, a brand new niece whom is due today!, debt free this year, furthering my photography and hopefully my gear! I would say this is some of the things that I see happening.... OH YEAH and a possible trip to Orlando Fl. To Disney world with my fam and my sisters fam this year... Really praying for this one!

So I think I'm going to spread some word about my blog that needs much nourishment from me the author and you the audience! I hope to add more guests and gain some insight from others and to enjoy the rest!

Happy blogging and happy reading!!

What to do...?

Well here Iam just standing at a standstill. We live in Washington state. The higher living cost area if some of you weren't aware. A home in the South could have as much as 3000 even 4000 sq.ft anywhere from 210,000 and below. Here in Washington you couldn't touch a house like that without paying at least 400 thousand plus! GEEZ?! what the heck? and WHY?? So spendy! Anyways we are here because we are stationed here at Ft. Lewis. Not everything we had hoped it would be when we moved here. I miss Savannah Georgia more and more staying here and I'm not from the south however We owned a fairly large home in Savannah and the weather was always amazing including the thunder storms which by the way are AMAZING in the south.

Back on track. Josh Is getting looked at for a higher promotion!!! YAY go Joshy! So therefore we were looking at maybe buying a home again. However like I said there's not many homes that are like able for the money that we could spend. So being that he also has the option to move to any duty station he wants for re- enlisting I'm not sure what we should do? Hes waiting until January 2011 to re sign. For now I guess its just wait it out and see!? We may just choose to go back to Savannah. Not sure? I hate being on the fence about things. If we had the opportunity to go back home to Missoula, well I'm not sure we would right now... Maybe when his career in the military is over but that's a while away. Well Any idea? Thanks for reading!

My Sons First Birthday

9:59 A.M. September 30th, 2009 Beau Hagen was born. He is now a year old! where has all the time went? I think every mom asks that when life has whirled around her so fast that its hard to tell what happened when and where! He is my only son so of course a side from all the pink I was happy to actually buy BOY things with blues ,greens ,oranges ,browns... Finally a change of scenery. I have three other divas/princesses so its nice to have a prince in the house along side the king. Here is what I have so far from his birthday pictures. I love how everything turned out! I borrowed the cupcake recipe from Kevin and Amanda's blog. Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Beau!
